Still working out the bugs!

Well here we go again. I am slowly working out the bugs on my blog I think. At least I can get photos here now. It is a crappy Sunday! I got up this morning looked outside and guess what I saw........SNOW! I know I was horrified as well. It is April for Pete's sake. I want sunshine and warm temps.

I am happy to say I have got a pattern and yarn for my felt a long project. I stopped by Knit wits again yesterday, and got some advice, some yarn, and borrowed a book. I just love that shop. My daughter went along and helped to choose the colors for my felt a long project. I am making a tab top bag in a rusty/ornangey color along with a chocolate heather. I am going to stripe it. I also exchanged some yarn I bought on Wednesday. I had chose a very soft pink, but my husband said it was all wrong for my coloring. I chose a very pretty cornflower blue instead. I am going to make a sweater for me out of the yarn. It is called soft as silk, and they are not kidding. I can not wait to start the sweater. Needless to say, I have many projects that must get completed before then. I am currently working on a Foozle for my niece. I have to finish furring it and put the eyes on. After that, I have to make a turtle for my son, a pair of socks for my son, a pair of socks for my mom, and some knitted kitties for my mom. Birthdays suck! I just somehow feel this need to make handcrafted items for the ones I love. I told my husband that after these items, I am going to be a selfish knitter. Make only things for me for a while. Well I at least got to work with my new yarns yesterday. I made test gauges from both of them. I even attemped to hand felt the felt a long yarn to see what it would look like. It worked out better than I thought. It took only about five minutes, but the yarn felted real nice. I think the finished project will definately go through the wash machine though.

Well that's all folks! Have a great day and think warm sunshiney thoughts.

Glad you got the yarn for your Felt A Long project. Mine is in the wash right now. It's taking a long time to felt. Love the blog!
