FO's Pictures and Stuff!

Today I have lots (if you condsider five lots) of photos to share. I have some finished objects, work in progress pics, projects to be, and a lego pic. So enjoy the show!

This first picture is of the finished baby booties I made for my soon to be niece or nephew. I love them. As my daughter who just saw them said "they are so cute". I remembered something when I made these though. I can not embroider worth a poop. The pattern calls to embroider the eyes, nose, and whiskers on. I tried. I cut them back off. They looked horrible. I decided to hot glue buttons on instead. I am still not happy with the whiskers, but oh well. Here are the specs: yarn is lush (50% angora/50% wool) and 100% angora. Pattern is from Fiber Trends. It was a felted booties pattern, but I just used smaller needles to get the right size.

I took this picture myself that is why the photo is not so good. This is one of my fingerless mitts finished. I still have to cast on for the other one. I love it. The yarn is soooo soft. Specs: Yarn Peruvian Baby Silk for Elann. The pattern is a combination of about three that I modified to made the mitts unique. I think I am going to cast on the other one later today.

Here is a picture of the current socks being worked on by me. My daughter picked this yarn out for her socks. She wants long (knee high) socks. I was worried about making them long enough, and having enough yarn, so what to do what to do? I learned a new technique! Last night I started making this sock from the toe up! That way I know I will have enough yarn, and they should be long enough for her. It is not too difficult. I had the most trouble with the provisional cast on. Took a few tries, but I got it. Specs: Yarn is from knit picks it is called Snapdragon. Pattern is from Sensational Knitted Socks. Love love love that book!

This is the yarn and pattern I am going to be using for my sockapalooza socks. I sure hope my pal likes them. I will likely cast on for them when my daughters socks are finished, or I may learn magic loop and give them a try that way.

This last picture is of our Lego City. There was a terrible accident there last night. My husband was getting a box down off the shelf behind the table, and a box fell. The brigde was crashed along with my Ferrari garage. My hubby fixed most of it last night, and I finished putting it back together today. As you can see, we really do have a ton of legos. If you look closely, you will see two Godzillas fighting in the middle of the city.

Well I hoped you all enjoyed the photo show today. Gotta go knit some more now.
