Nothing much

Nothing much going on around here. I had a really nice weekend. The kids were with their father, so my husband and I got to spend some time alone together. The only yucky part about the weekend was picking the kids up. Not because I did not want to get them, but because the ride is soooo long. It is 81 miles one way to go and get the kids. Long boring trip. I did start another project. Shock and wonder huh? I really liked the Monet blanket that the Crochet Dude made, so I decided to make one to match our living room. I have 1 1/2 squares done. It is slow going, because I have so many other projects I am working on. I also worked on my Sis in Law's shawl. It is just a small shawl to toss over her shoulders. I am also going to make her a scarf in the same yarn. I think I will try a lace pattern to see how it comes out. I am really liking looking at lace patterns, and think it is time to try one. In other news, I am going to try and make a surprise scarf for my hsuband. I bought a new book yesterday at Michaels. It is called 99 knit stitches. He really liked the one cabled pattern. I did a little test run with the pattern yesterday, I think it will be a bit complicated, but doable. Well guess I best get in gear here today. I have to take the car for an oil change, and do a little shopping. Have a great Monday!
