"Pretty in Punk"

This and that 004

Take a look at my baby. She is sooooooo cute don't ya think? Yes I know I am biased, but she is cute the nurse at the Doctor office told me so today. So this was my first attempt at fair isle, two color, or whatever the heck the tenique is. So totally cool. Only a small problem. My guage was off. The hat was gonna be for me, but I think my daughter looks way better in it. I am going to make her the matching mittens with her name on the palms! The yarn is pallette by knit picks. The hat was knit on size three circs magic loop method with the lining knit on size ones. You can sort of see where the lining is attatched too cause it pulls a bit. I love it though.

As I said the nurse today told me my daughter was very cute. My daughter had to go in for a physical/check-up. Hehe she had to get a booster shot. She was not so amused. She was amused when she went to the dentist with me though. She watched them put the icky gacky crud in my mouth. Blah! Today was my third trip to the dentist this week. I do have to say that even though the medicated guaze treatment for my dry socket is nasty horrible and disgusting, it works! My mouth is getting better. Today was also my last treatment unless I get more pain. So cross your fingers everyone. I have to go to the dentist next week to pick up my new denture, and go once in November for three fillings, and I should be done. Phew! Well nothing new in knitting news. I am still working on socks socks and another pair of socks. Tonight I have a home interiors party to go to across the street. MUST NOT SPEND A LOT OF MONEY! Tomorrow night Betsy is coming to knit and Saturday my parents will be here. Yay! Lots of good stuff after to many crappy dentist visits.

I LOVE that hat, fantastic! Cute model too! Sorry about the dry socket, I had two a few years back after I had four wisdom teeth out. Why do they have to make it be clove oil instead of say, peppermint oil? I felt like a cooking ham at the time, glad to hear you are past it all now.

i cannot believe that this was your first fair isle attempt. i am too sloppy and out of control when i knit. i don't think it would come out so well. really really cute!
