tooth saga continues.......

Ok seriously I should not have gone to the dentist. I ran out of my pain meds last Friday for my pulled tooth. It was hurting, but I was like well I have an appointment Monday. Well on Saturday I ended up at the ER cause I could not take the pain anymore. They said it looked like I had a dry socket. All you need to know is that it is really painfull. Pretty much the bone and nerve from where they pulled the tooth was exposed. Blah. I spent most of the weekend in a pain pill haze. Today I went to the dentist, and yep dry socket. Want to hear what the treatment is? Icky gross disgusting looking medicated guaze with clove oil in it. They pack that in the pulled tooth socket. It tastes so icky and nasty. I have to go back tomorrow to have the guaze removed and more packed in. Hopefully that is the end of the treatment. Ick! Sorry for the rant but I have no knitting as I am to dazed to operate the needles properly.

ouch! When I had my wisdom teeth out last summer (all four at once) I got not one but two dry sockets, so I know how awful you've been feeling. As for the clove oil, it helps, but I haven't been able to drink chai tea (which I used to love) since then because I'm so nauseated by the taste and smell of cloves now.

Hang in there, it'll be better soon!
